September PAK updates

Here are our September updates! We are always in need of volunteers. Please email us at info@pakcharlotte.orgif you would like to volunteer. Thank you!

Come and hang out with the PAK Coordinators and chat with other food allergy parents while the kids are in school! We will meet up at Poppyseeds Bagels which is located in the Shoppes at Hanfield Village 5132 Old Charlotte Highway in Indian Trail across from Sun Valley High School. Please know this is a food establishment, please check for your comfort and safety if you have food allergies. We can't wait to see you at ten am!

Join us for PAK day at the farm, October 14th at 3pm. We will go on a hayride and paint our pumpkins teal! All painting supplies, one pumpkin per child, and the hayride are included in the day! To secure your spot please RSVP. To RSVP email us at Please put Wise Acres in the subject line. Tell us how many adults, how many children, and the children's ages who will be attending. We are asking for $5 per family to secure your spot. To pay please go to

Please also check out the Wise Acres website. There is food on premises and other activities on site which include corn. We want everyone to check things out for the safety of your own child. Thank you and please let us know if you have any questions. RSVP by October 10th.

PAK A BEAR is back by popular demand! Join us on Dec.1 2018 at 1:00pm at the Mooresville Public Library 304 S. Main St. Mooresville,NC 28115. This event is for all ages Pre-k to 5th grade. Parents must stay for the entire event. We also need teen volunteers. Please email us at with your child's name and age. This will be a great event where we will explore how our bear can take care of his or her allergies. We will also practice using trainer auto-injectors. We have to cap this event at 30 children due to space constraints. The first time we held this event it filled within two days. We will start a waitlist if needed. This event is free and is funded by a community grant from FARE. Please rsvp by Nov.24th. A huge shoutout to PAK member Stephanie Insley for organizing this event, we are truly grateful!
